I designed a full range of digital and print materials including brochures, infographics, technical reports, and event signage, collaborating directly with subject matter experts to translate complex energy industry concepts into clear, engaging visual content. Smart Electric Power Alliance Booth Design at RE+ 2024

Anaheim, CA

I led the booth design and environmental branding for the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA) at RE+ 2024 in Anaheim, CA, the largest clean energy event in North America. My role encompassed full creative direction of the booth’s visual identity, including oversight of all branding displays and aesthetic approvals in collaboration with an external fabrication vendor responsible for physical build-out and installation.

In addition to spatial and environmental design, I developed all on-screen visual communications for the event, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with SEPA’s brand messaging. I also managed the technical setup for digital displays, including resolution, formatting, and playback specifications to guarantee accurate rendering of motion and static graphics throughout the event.

The project supported SEPA’s presence at a high-visibility industry gathering featuring over 40,000 professionals and 1,300+ exhibitors, reinforcing the organization’s leadership in clean energy advocacy and innovation at Smart Electric Power Alliance.

Black News Channel

Broadcast, Digital and Motion Design

At BNC, I designed and produced motion graphics packages for a 24/7 cable news network's daily programming, breaking news segments, and special reports. My work included lower thirds, show opens, animated maps, and promotional spots, all built to broadcast standards and delivered under the pressure of a live news environment. I collaborated daily with producers, directors, and editors to develop on-air graphics that supported live broadcasts in real time, requiring both creative precision and the ability to work fast without sacrificing quality. Beyond broadcast, I extended the network's visual presence across digital and social media platforms, producing assets that grew the channel's reach beyond traditional television. Every deliverable had to serve the network's mission to inform and inspire while maintaining a consistent, professional on-air identity across all platforms.

Full Screens

At Black News Channel, I designed and produced full-screen broadcast graphics used across live programming, breaking news segments, and special reports. My work focused on creating bold, high-impact visual compositions that supported storytelling in a fast-paced news environment while maintaining clarity, readability, and alignment with broadcast standards. Each full-screen was designed to communicate key information quickly and effectively, balancing strong typography, hierarchy, and visual structure to enhance viewer engagement. Through thoughtful layout design and motion-ready composition, I developed assets that elevated the network’s on-air presence while ensuring consistency across daily programming and live coverage.

Broadcast Motion Design & Segment Packages

At Black News Channel, I developed full show segment packages including full-screen graphics, intro and outro animations, show stings, and motion studio backgrounds for daily live programming and special news segments. My work focused on building cohesive visual systems that supported broadcast storytelling while maintaining consistency across fast-paced, real-time production environments. Each element was designed with a strong emphasis on hierarchy, pacing, and brand alignment—ensuring smooth transitions between segments and clear communication of key information on-air. Through a combination of motion design and broadcast graphics standards, I created dynamic visual frameworks that enhanced the network’s overall on-air identity and viewer experience.

Broadcast Visual Package — United States vs. R. Kelly Trial

One of my most visible projects at BNC was designing the complete visual package for the R. Kelly Trial segment. I created the open and close animations, motion studio background, and supporting digital stills entirely from concept to final delivery. The challenge was building a broadcast ready look that carried the weight and seriousness the subject demanded while staying fully aligned with BNC's on-air visual standards. The motion studio background was engineered for seamless live integration, and the open and close sequences gave the segment a strong, recognizable identity that held up consistently across both television and digital platforms. This project is a strong example of my ability to concept, execute, and deliver high stakes broadcast creative independently and on deadline.

Broadcast Segment Sting — 2021 U.S. Southern Border Crisis

During my time at BNC I designed the segment sting for the network's coverage of the 2021 U.S. Southern Border Crisis. With over 1.7 million migrant encounters recorded that year, including a significant influx of unaccompanied children and Haitian migrants, this was one of the most heavily covered and politically charged news stories of the moment. I created the sting animation and supporting visual elements from concept through final delivery, developing a compact but impactful broadcast ready identity that could transition viewers instantly into one of the most sensitive and urgent stories on the news cycle. The creative challenge was distilling the weight and human complexity of the crisis into a brief, powerful visual moment that conveyed urgency without sensationalizing the subject, while remaining fully aligned with BNC's on-air standards. The final sting integrated seamlessly into live coverage and gave the segment a consistent, authoritative identity across both television and digital platforms. This project reflects my ability to concept and execute sensitive, high stakes broadcast creative quickly, accurately, and independently.

President Elect Promo — BNC Prime Segment Show Sting

During my time at BNC I designed the complete visual package for the President Elect promo and BNC Prime segment show sting, produced in anticipation of the January 2021 inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. With the nation's attention fixed on the historic transition of power and the swearing in of Kamala Harris as the first woman and first woman of color ever elected to the Vice Presidency, this was among the highest visibility creative work I produced at the network. I created the promo animations, show sting, and supporting visual elements from concept through final delivery, developing a broadcast ready identity that captured the weight and significance of the moment while projecting the authority and credibility BNC Prime demanded from its flagship programming. The creative challenge was striking the right tone, conveying the gravity of a historic presidential inauguration without veering into partisanship, while delivering something visually dynamic enough to hold a national audience. The final package performed seamlessly across live television and digital platforms and gave BNC Prime a strong, recognizable visual presence during one of the most watched news cycles of the year. This project reflects my ability to concept and execute high stakes, time sensitive broadcast creative at the level a national news network requires.

Black News Tonight Show Open – Black News Tonight with Marc Lamont Hill

During my time at BNC I designed the complete visual package for the show open of Black News Tonight with Marc Lamont Hill, one of the network's flagship evening programs. As a high profile primetime show anchored by one of the most recognized and respected voices in Black media and journalism, this package carried significant creative weight and visibility. I created the show open animations and supporting visual elements from concept through final delivery, developing a broadcast ready identity that matched the gravitas and intellectual authority Marc Lamont Hill brought to the program every night. The creative challenge was building a visual identity that felt bold and distinctive enough to stand as a primetime flagship while honoring the seriousness of the news coverage and commentary the show delivered. The final package gave Black News Tonight a strong, commanding on-air presence that established the tone of the program from the first frame and held up consistently across both television and digital platforms. This project reflects my ability to develop high profile, personality driven broadcast creative that elevates the identity of a show and the network it represents.

Start Your Day Segment Open – Open Mike with Mike Hill

During my time at BNC I designed the complete visual package for the Open Mike segment open, part of BNC's Start Your Day morning show with host Mike Hill. As a daily programming segment airing every morning on a national cable news network, this package had to perform consistently and hold up under the repeated exposure that comes with daily broadcast. I created the segment open animations and supporting visual elements from concept through final delivery, developing a broadcast ready identity that matched the tone of morning programming, approachable and energetic while still carrying the professionalism expected of a national news network. The creative challenge was building something that felt fresh and inviting enough to start a viewer's day while establishing a strong, recognizable visual identity for Mike Hill and the segment itself. The final package integrated seamlessly into BNC's Start Your Day programming and gave Open Mike a distinct, consistent on-air presence that audiences could identify immediately. This project reflects my ability to develop personality driven broadcast creative that serves both the host's identity and the network's overall visual standards.
